Summary
Saint Joseph is a small town in Northeast Louisiana, located in Tensas Parish, and situated on the Mississippi River. Saint Joe, as it is known locally, is rich in history and many of the families trace their lineage for several generations to the area. Lake Bruin is an oxbow lake (former bend in the Mississippi River) that is a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts and sportsman alike. The banks of Lake Bruin are populated with many homes and "camps" and bring an enhanced flow of revenue through the economically depressed parish.
When Blue Aqua founders, Shane and Stephanie Michelli moved to Tensas Parish in 2020 they developed a passion for the area and its residents. They began looking for ways to enhance the livelihoods of all stakeholders and bring attention to the attractions of the area. Additionally, they wanted to continue to promote economic activity and development by providing a platform for current businesses and encouraging other businesses to move to the area.
This effort lead to the creation of the Discover St Joe website, app, and media properties.
