Ricky Sanchez

Ricky Sanchez served honorably for 24 years of dedicated service in the United States Navy as a committed leader and team builder. He employed staunch resilience and tireless work ethic throughout his Naval Special Warfare (NSW) career to grow into a competent front runner and team player recognized for directing organizational proficiency and innovative problem-solving.  Adaptability and perseverance have played vital roles in his career to navigate high-risk, complex environments, and develop the crucial values of confidence, communication, and collaborative teamwork.

Ricky’s career has focused on professional growth and development to excel during uncertainty and maximize the team's productivity, efficiency, and capabilities.  His ability to be flexible and learn complex capabilities led him to become qualified as an NSW combat medic who deployed numerous times as the sole medical provider for traumatic casualty care.  Screened and selected to serve on a National Missions Force, he supported the GWOT in covert locations worldwide.  He repeatedly volunteered to lead and work with high-diverse, cross-functional coalition teams conducting combat operations in tense cultural landscapes to mitigate stressful, dynamic situations. Recognized for outstanding career performance as an enlisted SEAL, he was hand-picked to serve as a Chief Warrant Officer while training to become a fixed-wing pilot.  He qualified as an FAA-Airline Transport Pilot, Naval Aviation Safety Officer, and Mission Commander for single-engine and multi-engine aircraft with dissimilar systems that he occasionally flew in the same operational period.

Upon retirement from the US Navy in 2016, he earned the opportunity to work as a COO in a private equity firm. He demonstrated leadership and adaptability that inspired peers to promote accountability and foster team collaboration.  As an operational program manager and logistics director for a company supporting USGOV contracts, he successfully led, coordinated, and executed US Government Operations in and around the Pacific Ocean. He routinely supports the men and women of an East Coast SEAL Team as the Deputy Operations Officer.  As a Command Team member, he holds vital roles in management, budgeting, and operational execution to enable training that culminates in deployment.  In this venue, he is able to share his extensive, well-versed expertise and tempered leadership gained through his experiences in NSW and civilian careers.  He is focused on reinforcing the team members’ bond to overcome adversity, improve productivity, and methodically reach defined goals.

Driven to refute complacency and affect what he can, he recently completed his Bachelor of Science in Professional Aviation.  To grow and achieve a higher standard of business knowledge, he plans to attend the Duke University, Fuqua School of Business to join the Executive MBA Program Class of '23.

In his personal life, Ricky spends his time with his family.  He has been married to Tiffany for 20 years and currently resides in Virginia Beach, VA, with their three children: Annabelle, Manny, and RJ.
