Stephanie is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and a graduate of Louisiana State University where she studied English, Secondary Education, and Psychology. Though she briefly taught high school English, Stephanie was happily a stay-at-home mom for 20 years, which gave her the opportunity to invest in her family and attend approximately one million little league games, every one of them a pleasure. She was able to pursue her artistic interests, do volunteer work, and continue her education. In 2008, she graduated with distinction from Limpert’s Academy of Design (UK) in Landscape Design.
In 2016, she began writing her own blog, A Curious Habit, focusing on, but not limited to, home and garden topics. She is currently a freelance writer, editor, and contributor to client blogs as well as websites, professional articles, and presentations. Proofreading is her superpower.
Stephanie has one son, Easton, college student and humor lover. She has one stepson, Michael, who has two boys of his own, Hayden and Grayson. Yeah, she’s a boy mom, and she’s not mad about it. Stephanie is married to Shane, her greatest cheerleader and provider of unexpected adventure. She firmly believes chocolate is life.
